MedQuePMS
MedQue = Medical + Queue · the queue is the hero

Patient queue management software that empties your waiting room

The "Que" in MedQuePMS is the whole point: a live token queue where patients wait by their phone instead of on your bench. Real ETAs computed from each doctor's actual pace, turn alerts on WhatsApp and push, a lobby TV board, and a tracking link that needs no app — the queue at the heart of our OPD management software.

A 20-minute live demo — we issue real tokens and you watch the queue move.

Why waiting rooms overflow

A clinic waiting room fills up for one simple reason: nobody trusts the queue. Patients arrive an hour early because they cannot see their position. The receptionist becomes a human status API, answering "kitna time lagega?" forty times a morning — and guessing, because a paper token says nothing about how fast the doctor is actually moving today. When a doctor runs late, the guesses get worse, tempers get shorter, and the bench gets fuller.

A queue management system for clinics fixes this only if the number on the patient's screen is honest. That is the design centre of MedQuePMS: the ETA is computed from each doctor's actual completed-consult average, not a fixed slot length, and it updates live as the day speeds up or slows down. Once patients can trust "~20 minutes", they stop hoarding bench time — they wait at home, at work, or in the car, and walk in when their phone tells them to.

How the live queue works

Token issued

A booking or walk-in becomes a token in the multi-doctor queue — and before confirming, the patient sees a preview: "You'd be #5, ~30 min". Vitals captured at check-in are stored right on the token.

Wait anywhere

A magic link by SMS or WhatsApp opens "You're #4, ~20 min" in the browser — no app, no login. App users watch the same live position with push updates.

Get the alert

Turn-approaching and turn-ready alerts land by push and WhatsApp, so the walk back to the clinic starts at the right moment, not an hour early.

Walk in on time

The TV board and the doctor's screen agree with the patient's phone. The consult starts, the token moves to in-progress, and everyone behind shifts up — live.

A full token lifecycle, not just a number dispenser

  • Multi-doctor, room-awareOne real-time token list across every doctor, with room assignments patients can actually follow.
  • Every state handledWaiting → in-progress → completed, plus no-show, cancel, skip & recall, and transfer between doctors.
  • Priority tokensNormal, urgent and emergency levels move serious cases up without a scene at the front desk.
  • Auto-rebalance on delaysA doctor running late or on a break triggers rebalancing; ETAs follow reality, not the roster.
  • "Out today" bulk reassignOne action moves a doctor's whole waiting list to colleagues when they can't come in.
  • Pay-to-consult gate"Attend now" stays disabled until the fee is collected or waived — the queue and patient records stay billing-clean.
  • Tokens survive midnightEvening OPD tokens don't vanish at 12:00; a stale-token sweep closes anything left open past 12 hours.
  • Feeds the whole platformThe same token carries check-in vitals to the doctor and can trigger AI patient intake before the consult.

Two screens that do the waiting for you

One for the lobby, one for the patient's pocket — both reading the same live queue.

In the lobby

Queue TV board

Any TV or monitor becomes a live queue display — it's just a URL, no player box or cabling project. Tokens are listed per doctor with room assignments, and naming is privacy-aware (first name and last initial), so the room follows the flow without identities being broadcast.

In the pocket

Magic-link tracking

One tap from SMS, WhatsApp, email or a QR opens the patient's live queue page — "You're #4, ~20 min" — with live updates and turn alerts. No install, no login, works on any phone with a browser; even the receipt PDF arrives via a public token link.

For regulars

Patient app position

Patients on the native iOS or Android app see the same live position and ETA alongside their records, get push alerts for turn-approaching and turn-ready, and can pay the consult fee by scanning the clinic's UPI QR with the exact amount embedded.

Frequently asked questions

How is the wait-time estimate calculated?

From each doctor's actual completed-consult average — not a fixed slot length. If a doctor's consults are running six minutes, the ETA says so; if they stretch, the ETA stretches with them. When a doctor runs late or takes a break, the queue auto-rebalances instead of quietly lying to the waiting room.

Do patients need to install an app to track their token?

No. After a token is issued, a magic link goes out by SMS or WhatsApp; one tap opens a live page — “You're #4, ~20 min” — in the browser, with no install and no login. Patients who do use the native iOS or Android app also get push alerts and their records.

What does the waiting-room TV show?

The Queue TV board is just a URL you open on any lobby screen. It shows the live token list per doctor with room assignments, using privacy-aware naming — first name and last initial — so the room can follow the queue without full patient identities being broadcast.

What happens when a doctor is delayed or goes on a break?

The queue auto-rebalances and every ETA updates from reality rather than the schedule. If a doctor is flipped to “Out today”, their waiting tokens can be bulk-reassigned to colleagues in one action — and patients hear about it on their phones, not from an argument at the desk.

Can patients pay before the consultation?

Yes. MedQuePMS has a pay-to-consult gate — “Attend now” stays disabled until the fee is collected or waived — and the patient app shows the clinic's own UPI QR with the exact amount embedded, so the fee can be settled from the waiting-room chair or from home.
