Patient management software for the whole relationship, not just the visit
A visit lasts fifteen minutes; the relationship lasts years. MedQuePMS gives every patient one clean record from first contact, puts the clinic in their pocket — app or no app — and then does the quiet work that fills tomorrow's OPD: follow-up reminders, refill recalls and win-back nudges on the channel each patient actually opens.
A 20-minute walkthrough — registration, the patient app, reminders and recall, live.
Patients don't come back by accident
Ask any clinic where last year's patients went and the honest answer is: nobody knows. The follow-up was written on a slip that went home in a pocket. The chronic patient's refill ran out on a Tuesday and a chemist filled the gap. The family that visited three times in 2024 never heard from the clinic again — not because care was poor, but because nobody's job was to remember them. Retention fails in the gap between visits, and no amount of front-desk diligence covers a gap measured in months.
Patient management, done properly, is that memory made systematic: one identity per patient, a surface where the clinic stays reachable, and an engine that brings people back at the clinically right moment — automatically, on a channel they actually read, with their consent on record.
One record from the very first contact
However a patient arrives — self check-in QR, WhatsApp booking, the press-1 IVR line, the website's AI assistant, the public find-clinic directory or a walk-in at the desk — registration lands in the same place: one patient, one MRN, one permanent record. Duplicate-phone protection with per-clinic uniqueness rejects a re-registration cleanly and routes it to the existing file, so "Sharma, Sharma and Sharma-with-a-typo" never become three charts holding one person's history.
From then on, everything attaches to that record: every visit and prescription from the EMR, lab statuses and results, uploaded documents, payments and receipts from billing, referral notes, consent and reminder history. The record follows the relationship — not the notebook of whichever receptionist was on duty.
The clinic in the patient's pocket — with or without an app
Engagement fails when it demands installs. MedQuePMS meets each patient at the effort level they will actually accept.
iOS + Android patient app
Live queue position with a real ETA, a check-in QR, My Records with lab status and results, UPI pay on the clinic's QR, phone-OTP sign-in, patient-set reminders — fully bilingual EN/हिन्दी with a pre-login language switch.
Magic link
One tap from SMS, WhatsApp or email opens the live queue page — "You're #4, ~20 min" — and receipts arrive the same way. No app, no login, works on any phone that opens a browser. Pairs with the live queue so patients wait at home.
Patient web app
Find-clinic, self-registration, live queue, records, profile and notifications in the browser — installable as a PWA and fully bilingual, for patients who prefer the web to an app store.
The follow-up and recall engine
- Follow-up scheduler, 7/3/1Set the follow-up during the consult (on web or the nurse app) and reminders go out 7, 3 and 1 day before — dispatched channel-aware across push, WhatsApp and SMS, and shown in the patient app.
- Auto-refill recallChronic prescriptions trigger a recall when the refill falls due — the diabetic's medicines run out at your pharmacy counter, not the chemist's.
- Win-back nudgesPatients who have drifted get a recall nudge to return — and every nudge is audit-logged, so outreach is accountable, not spam.
- Patient-set remindersPatients can set their own reminders in the app, adding their memory to yours.
Reaching patients reliably is an engineering problem
A reminder that isn't delivered is a no-show wearing a checkmark. The MedQuePMS notification engine treats delivery as something to verify, not assume: push goes out in parallel, and messages run an SMS → WhatsApp → email fallback chain — if one channel fails, the next takes over. Every delivery is logged, and per-patient opt-ins keep the clinic on the right side of each patient's preferences.
It also learns. Channel-preference learning tracks which channel each patient actually opens and reorders future sends accordingly — the uncle who ignores SMS but answers WhatsApp gets WhatsApp first next time. The message set covers the whole journey: queue confirmation, turn approaching and turn ready, appointment reminders, consultation receipts and missed-call intent — all part of the same clinic management platform, so nothing needs a second tool or a copy-pasted phone list.
Their data, handled like it matters
Long-term patient relationships run on trust, and trust runs on how you hold their data.
- DPDP-ready consentPer-purpose, versioned and revocable — consent is a record, not a checkbox lost in onboarding.
- Right to deletionA deletion request cascades through the patient's data, not just the profile row.
- Per-clinic isolationPostgreSQL row-level security on every core table — one clinic can never see another's patients.
- Audit-logged actionsHMAC-signed audit logging across the platform, including recall outreach.
- Encrypted secretsPayment and AI credentials are encrypted at rest.
- Breach runbookA 72-hour breach-response runbook is in place — the plan exists before it's needed.
Frequently asked questions
How does MedQuePMS prevent duplicate patient records?
Registration has duplicate-phone protection with per-clinic uniqueness — an attempt to re-register an existing patient is rejected cleanly and routed to the existing record instead of creating a second file. Every patient gets an MRN, so lab reports, prescriptions, payments and visits all attach to one permanent record.
Do patients need to install an app?
No. A magic link sent by SMS, WhatsApp or email opens the patient's live queue position and receipts in the browser — no install, no login. Patients who want more can use the native iOS and Android app (live queue with ETA, check-in QR, My Records, UPI pay, reminders, English and Hindi) or the installable patient web app.
Which reminder channels are supported — and what if one fails?
The notification engine sends push in parallel and runs an SMS → WhatsApp → email fallback chain, so a message that fails on one channel is retried on the next. Every delivery is logged, patients have per-patient opt-ins, and channel-preference learning tracks which channel each patient actually opens and reorders future sends accordingly.
Can patients see their own records and reports?
Yes. My Records in the patient app shows the chief complaint, ICD diagnoses, the structured prescription, lab status and results, and any referral note — with an offline cache. Prescriptions and receipts also reach the patient by magic link, so even app-less patients keep a copy of what happened.
How is patient data protected — and can it be deleted?
Each clinic's data is isolated with PostgreSQL row-level security on every core table, and actions are covered by HMAC-signed audit logging. Consent is DPDP-ready — per-purpose, versioned and revocable — the right to deletion cascades through the record, and a 72-hour breach runbook is in place.
